RêverieIn 1996 I started composing music. The first serious composition, Rêverie is classical music for piano and violin. Non-classic compositions came later. For example, Afscheid (Dutch for goodbye) was written in cooperation with my mother for the passing of a loved one and Insecurity was composed after a personal relationship. |
La Chasse NaturelleIn 2003 I produced La Chasse Naturelle. This piece for piano combines classical music with jazz. A recording can be downloaded as mp3. I recorded and processed La Chasse Naturelle myself by using a Yamaha P-80 digital piano. Also the score can be downloaded. |
DoortochtmisAfter three years of accompagnying the "Doortochtkoor" in Zoetermeer, I composed as a fairwell gift the following music in december 2003. It consists of Kyrië, Sanctus, Lam Gods, Voorbede-acclamatie and Onze Vader. |
C'est FragileIn 2004 and 2005 I composed and recorded C'est Fragile. Containing three parts, it starts with a melancholic piece. Second is a slow, tragic piece of music. In concludes with a fragile part, which comes best into play if listened to directly after the first two parts. Score and mp3 are here for downloading. BluesOn 18 October 2003 I recorded my first blues, using the Yamaha P-80 digital piano. In addition I used the bass guitar, rhodes, strings and soprano saxophone from the Yamaha S-03. My second blues is from 15th of June, 2005. It is a blues in A key on piano en double bass. Vintage ImprovisationDeze improvisatie is gebaseerd op een thema uit een zeer bekende filmhit uit de jaren tachtig. Herkend of niet? Laat het even weten. De titel slaat op het geluid dat hiervoor is gebruikt: Een vintage piano, in combinatie met een elektrische bas. Dit heeft een distortion elektrisch pianogeluid. |

Theater productions
Vanaf 1999 ben ik in de musicalwereld gerold. De zelf opgerichte Stichting theaterorkest.nl (voormalig Licht Klassiek Ensemble, LKE) die ik voorzit werd gevraagd door Stichting Theaterwerkgroep Zpinazie om binnen twee maanden de musical Children of Eden in te studeren. Sindsdien hebben we tevens de musicals Into the Woods, Working en Footloose Opgevoerd. In april 2004 is de wereldhitmusical Fame opgevoerd. Na Anatevka in 2005, waarbij ik verantwoordelijk was voor de percussie, is in 2006 Seussical de Musical opgevoerd. In heb ik opnieuw percussie gespeeld bij de productie Oklahoma. Posters van deze musicals staan hieronder. Oktober 2008 staat in het teken van het musicalconcert Something Wicked met Nederlandse premieres. Music theater productions
Bij Theatergezelschap Reflectie heb ik de muziek verzorgd van de het muzikale cabaret Poeh poeh o ja in 2000. In april 2005 stond Déjà vu op de planken. De muziek daarvan is deels zelf gecomponeerd. Daarvoor droeg ik zorg voor de arrangementen en verzorg muzikale leiding. Deze voorstelling was te zien in het Stadstheater Zoetermeer, maar is ook gespeeld op 11 juni 2005 in het Theater aan het Spui in Den Haag. In combinatie met Mavelle is in 2006 de voorstelling Twilight Songs geproduceerd, waarbij ik muzikale leiding gaf en deelnam aan het begeleidende trio muzikanten van theaterorkest.nl. In 2007 stond Hebbes op de planken, met zelf geschreven en gearrangeerde muziek. Ook het jubileum van Musicalkoor Tanthof was een echte muziektheatervoorstelling die de naam 'Liefde, lust en ramen lappen' droeg.
Musicalday
I have been the initiator of the Musicalday, of which can be found more on the site www.musicalday.nl. The first Musicalday was on June 13th, 2009, and was a full day in Zoetermeer with highlights from musicals, performed by live musicians and singers.
Musical accompagnying
A lot of my work in music is accompagnying other musicians, mainly singers. An impression is found below.
